If you have a credit score of around 655, then one easiest credit card to get approved for would be Wal-Mart’s Discover Card. This is the actual credit card and not their store card. Some people might go applying for the Wal-Mart Credit Card thinking that’s the Discover card but it is not. Wal-Mart does not call their card a store card. They call it a credit card. But they also offer a card with a major credit card logo on it.
And that would be the Wal-Mart Discover Card. If they don’t approve you for their Discover card, then they might approve you for their regular card (the store card they call a credit card). The two cards are easily distinguishable. One has the Discover logo (real credit card that can be used anywhere Discover is accepted) on it and the other doesn’t (store card that can only be used at Wal-Mart).
With gas prices being high, they do offer a gas incentive. I thought that was a nice little perk. Every little bit counts with gas prices these days. And Wal-Mart is one store that tends to offer lower gas prices in the city anyway so having that already without the card, adding a card with that perk is even better. And this perk even is with their store credit card, too. Good deal to me.URGENT: Know Your Credit Score Before Applying for Credit
